AEROSTAR’s mission, today
l Maintain the supplier status in the field of aviation and ground defence systems mainly for the Romanian Ministry of National Defence.
l Consolidation of AEROSTAR’s position as supplier of parts, aerostructures, subassemblies and equipment for the commercial and general aviation, in such a way as to become a major subcontractor for the globalized aviation industry.
l Consolidation of AEROSTAR’s activities as a prime supplier of maintenance for civil aircraft and for conversion / upgrade of civil aircraft.

Today Aerostar has many objectives which will generate various opportunities in the near future. Therefore, the company has founded the future Civil MRO Centre in Iasi - the first development outside the main head office. At this secondary headquarter, Aerostar will perform activities in the field of civil aircraft maintenance for Boeing 737 and Airbus 320. An investment of over 10 million euro, with a surface of 1,6 hectares and with over 150 employees, in the first phase, in the airport area, this project shall strengthen the image of the company.
Another project relates to the Memorandum of
Understanding between Aerostar and Raytheon International Defense Systems, a first step of the long period collaboration in the field of equipment and related components of the integrated multilevel air defence system - procurement program of the Romanian army with the Patriot systems, signed in October 2017.
By placing the Patriot system on the territory of our country, Romania entered among the 14 countries which holds such devices, countries such as Germany, Greece, Israel, Japan, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and, not least, the United States of America, which owns such missiles.
