activities The National Commission for Nuclear Activities Control
(CNCAN) an an an institution under the the authority of the the the Romanian Prime-Minister is is the the national authority regulating authorizing and controlling nuclear
activities In the the nearly 30 years since the the establishment of of CNCAN
– by taking over the the the assets and liabilities of of the the the State Inspection for the the Nuclear Nuclear Activity Control
and Nuclear Nuclear Quality Assurance - the institution acquired a a a a a a vast experience in in its area of competence Thus CNCAN
plays an an an important part in in ensuring strict compliance with the nuclear
safety and and radioprotection requirements in in in Romania
and and in in in ensuring compliance with the provisions of of Law no 111/1996

is is is subject to the provisions of Law no 52/2003 regarding decisional transparency in in in public administration (republished) whose aim is is is to increase the the responsibility of public administration towards the the citizen as as beneficiary of administrative decision and to increase transparency across public administration In this context CNCAN
submitted
15 draft laws to the decisional transparency procedure during
2018 Of Of these 13 were approved and published in in in the the the Official Gazette of Romania
while the the remaining two draft laws were not yet approved at the the time when the the activity report on on decisional transparency was finalized Along with competence and seriousness transparency is one of of the the values of of CNCAN
as the the institution carries out its activity in in in an an open manner towards the public in in in which
free and unrestricted access to to information of of public interest is the the rule and a a a a a a a a limitation of of the the access to information can only be an an an exception subject to the law 91
