            the New Silk Road Initiative

the largest global infrastructure project in recent history. We
fully understand and appreciate the opportunity that to be part of this strategic partnership
for Romania and far reaching potential over the long-term. These accomplishments are
the result of a sustained entrepreneurial activity on a highly competitive market, where we have cultivated business relationships, partnerships and businesses from the ground up. Last and certainly not least, we have invested in our people – our most important asset. Our ongoing policy is to attract the best experts from the industry, people who have the necessary experience and professional maturity that can embrace an entrepreneurial company with ambitious long-term objectives, to align themselves to the challenges of a competitive business environment and

What is the impact of joining the Trans-Caspian Transport Route?
By joining the Trans-Caspian, Grampet clearly demonstrates that privately held companies in Romania are capable of participating in such complex international projects.
This marks a historic partnership for Romania – placing Grampet on the New Silk Road with a commercial network linking three continents (Asia, Europe and Africa).
I am confident we will demonstrate, as a country,
that we are a trustworthy partner, matching the level
of performance that such an alliance expects, and that
we will use this opportunity
to consolidate our strategic position within the global economic ecosystem. This alliance can turn Romania
into a logistic hub between Europe and Asia, a genuine “Eastern Gate of the European Community for the Near Middle East and Far East”.
One of the initial impacts will be intensifying inter-modal traffic in Romania, as well as in neighbouring countries creating a new route between China and the European Union. After final completion, GRAMPET Group’s railway operators will operate six countries from the EU community to this corridor (Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria, Croatia, Austria and Greece) including Serbia in the near future.
We estimate that this partnership could generate nearly 100,000 new jobs for Romania alone and additional government revenue that will exceed 1 billion Euros.
What happens next for GRAMPET Group?
Anul 2019 va fi cu siguranţă
un 2019 will definitely be a landmark year for the entire European rail transport industry, taking into account the market deregulation that was announced in June.
