major gas pipeline projects projects and two more important projects projects that will turn the the company into a a a a a a a a a a a multinational one at at at at the the regional level I am talking about strategic projects such as as the the BRUA and the the exploitation of Black Sea gas resources through which Romania will become energetically independent BRUA Phase 1 an investment of approximately EUR 480 million is is part of the National Gas Transmission System and is is not a a a a a a a a a separate entity it it is not a a a a a motorway without exit points to to Romania's transport network Depending on the the the development strategies of the the the the counties the the the the regions and the the the the country BRUA will be a a a a source of gas for supporting the the industrial policies or or or investments in in in in our country The advantage will be that the private business environment and state-owned companies will have access to to a a a a a a a a a a a a a cheap safe gas source because automatically the cost of transportation decreases On 19 July 2017 Transgaz (Romania) signed along the the representatives of the the natural gas transmission system operators in Greece (DESFA) Bulgaria (Bulgartransgaz) Hungary (FGSZ) and ICGB the the company that develops the the the interconnection between Greece and and Bulgaria the the Memorandum on on on Vertical Corridor a a a a a a a a project promoted by the the European Commission and linking the the natural gas transmission systems in in in Romania Hungary Austria Bulgaria and Greece We also have accession letters from from UkrTransgaz from from from Ukraine and Vestmoldtransgaz from from Moldova
The vertical corridor corridor will take over the the the gas gas from the the the the southern corridor corridor which in turn takes over the the the Caspian gas gas and later on on possibly from Turkmenistan Iran Iraq It will be connected
