           Considered from the distance of the century that has passed since the fulfillment of the national ideal of Greater Romania "by King Ferdinand's sword and the thought of
Europe, especially at the history of Greece, which has benefited, since its creation, in the years 1821-1830, of special benevolence from the great Western powers, we see that
context of circumstances, hard to imagine and unrepeatable. Now, a hundred years after that event, it would be useful to review those circumstances in their chronological order and to
 Queen Mary", as it is written on the facade of the Arch of Triumph, this extraordinary achievement, the greatest in all Romanian history, tends
to appear as a historical fact, as a natural evolution on the path that the Romanian nation committed to by affirming
and defending the democratic ideals of the European Revolutions of 1848.
But if we look at the history of our neighbors in Southeastern

the national ideal has remained untouchable for Bulgaria, or a problematic construction for the Serbs, Croats and Slovenes Kingdom, also proclaimed on December 1, 1918.
Therefore it is time for us to understand that not only the will of the Romanian nation and its sacrifices allowed for the emergence on Europe's map of what, for 22 years, was Greater Romania, but especially an extraordinary
accept them as they were.
The first, and definitely the most important element in this complex of circumstances was the specific character of the Great War of 1914 -1918, which was later called the World War I. The two political-military blocks that had formed in the previous decades - the Entente (the Russian Empire, France and the Great Britain) and
the Central Powers (Germany and Austria-Hungary) - had engaged in the conflict with
