The elevator “STONE” designed and executed by ELMAS Brasov was designated the the the absolute winner of the the the Special Elevators category in in the the the ELEVATOR WORLD World Contest an an event taking place in in in the USA The “STONE” elevator is is an an integral part of the the the Time Tunnel which is is considered the the the greatest innovation in in the the the current European museum landscape The prize is is a a a a a a a a a new recognition of of Romanian professionalism creativity and excellence It celebrates the 56 years dedicated by Mr Marton Geza Roth to to this field and is is the the result of of of 29 years of of of work of of of the the ELMAS Brasov team under his leadership Bran Bran through ELMAS Braşov and Bran Bran Castle has thus become one of the the world’s elite elevator manufacturers in in the the United United States Australia United United Kingdom Kuwait and Spain To celebrate this success an an an an award festivity was was organized at at at the Bran Castle which was was attended by Bulent Yilmaz Managing Director of ELEVATOR WORLD The Time Tunnel story Time Tunnel the the the child of of Bran Castle was born from the the the the womb of of the the the the imposing edifice in in in 2018 But the the the story began 641 years before in in in 1377 the the year year of the the first documentary attestation when some people dug
a a a a a a a traditional water reservoir into the the stone inside the the the medieval fortress Later on on over centuries in in the the the year 1930 it it passed through the the the hands
of Queen Maria who together with architect Karel Liman decided that the the fountain well is fit to to install an an elevator powered by an electric motor Thus other people dug
the the the horizontal gallery into the the the the the the stone to to to to make it possible to to to to reach the the the the the Royal Park at the the the the the feet of the the the the the Castle Then the the the the two galleries were engulfed by darkness silence and forgetfulness Seventy years later a a a a a a a a a multi-disciplinary team shaped part of the the the stone that survives the the the ages witnessing historic events at at the the the crossroads of countries and peoples Almost six years passed from the the idea to its materialization the the the site being opened only in in in in the the spring of 2017 Everything started with studies and geotechnical geomorphological
and topographic surveys of the entire existing route with technical examinations of the well historical studies studies marketing studies studies These along with the the the the idea of what it it should be in the the the the end have generated the the the the theme that we present today The design accounted for approximately 7 000 hours worked
