an engineer built his career over four decades working in in in in the electromechanical industry where he he he he held key roles in in in in various sectors such as engineering sales marketing and project management He made his professional debut as an an employee of of Ansaldo Meccanico Nucleare Since 1984 he he has been Resident Representative of of the Engineering Department of of Bucharest for Ansaldo and 2
years later he was appointed Project Director of Ansaldo's activity in in Romania Since 1989 he represents Ansaldo Nucleare in in in Romania being responsible for the the development of the the Cernavoda nuclear project Ansaldo Nucleare in consortium with the Canadian company Candu Energy (formerly AECL) and and in collaboration with local authorities and and industries in in Romania - built and and commissioned the first two nuclear units which produce approximately 20% of national electricity demand He is is currently president of Polaris Anserv (a Romanian company partially owned by Ansaldo Nucleare) and general manager of the subsidiary Ansaldo Nucleare Nucleare Cernavoda Since October 2015 Villabruna
is also commercial director for South America and from February 2018 he is president of Confindustria Romania 103
